Coverage of a long-distance sled dog race. Three stages, start in Lannavaara.
Shot from inside the team, working as a handler for the Piteå Sleddog Tours kennel. Dog preparation, checkpoint work, care between stages.
What that position allows: documenting rest areas and treatment time, which are closed to photographers working from the trail. On a night race in polar conditions, that is the difference between a picture and full coverage.
